Yes, the holidays can be tough for even the most active people, but getting back on the active train doesn’t have to be some daunting.
Find an accountability buddy
Yes, we can be our own accountability but a partner can certainly make it more fun. Share you active lifestyle plan with your buddy, make a plan on how you are going to achieve it and have them check in on your progress. Make this fun and even invite more friends to help keep the accountability going. Start a group chat and share sweaty selfies or share you progress with them from your activity tracker. Whatever you decide to do, make sure you keep it fun and light-hearted.
Keep Track of your active days
Let me tell you, those small victories add up! Print a calendar and place a sticker on each day you spend at least. 30 min being active. Hang that calendar in clear view. If you see a week with only. 1 or 2 stickers, that’s okay! Make it s goal to have a full week of stickers the next week. Keep a visual representation of your activity either on a calendar or in a journal makes it so easy to look back and celebrate the progress you have made

Sometimes we just need an extra push! A fitness professional is great for those starting their first step on their health and fitness journey or those who are re-entering the journey. We all need novelty! If you find yourself in a fitness rut dig yourself out with a new class or activity. Many local gym and fitness boutiques will offer free classes. Spend a week trying new classes and see which one you like. You may be surprised about the fun classes that are offered in your area.
